I just got back from a nice dinner with the folks with one of my fave local bands playing at the place we ate at as well. I stayed after they left cause I wanted to hear the band some more. I left to go to wal mart on the way home to get something for a Sunday cook out the next day. I come outside and notice my tire is low, so i drive down the street to the gas station, damn air pump was out of order. so i drove home as carefully as I could. I get up the next day, tire is TOTALLY flat, rim on the ground flat. I pop the trunk to get the spare and jack out.
Me personally, I hate the jacks that come with our cars, mainly the compact 'scissor lift' ones that you raise with the jack handle. well I get both out and i notice that my jack and jack handle are rusty (never been used since the car was built in late 2003). so i haul out the floor jack but my jacking point is on the side (and my flat was on the right rear). so i have to back up the car to get to the wheel, get it off throw the flat in the trunk, bolt on the spare, put away jack. I drive to my usual 'tire guy' who is closed on Sunday (did not know this). go down the road to Monroe Muffler and they tell me tire is not fixable (split in the inner sidewall, near tread

). give me a quote for the CHEAPEST tire they have, 123 bucks with tax and mounting

.
well I plan on going to my tire guy on Monday, but I was planning on going out of town today for the cook out and now I have a car on a donut that I would not trust doing 50 let alone 60-65, so I am just gonna hang at my house today, maybe catch a show at the theater later *sigh*
