I think there could definatly be a new 429 Boss Mustang, now it probly wont be a big block since the day of big blocks has long since passed and nowadays we have the technology and engineering to make small blocks strong enough to handle big block power, which was the point of the big block back in the day, but it could most definatly happen...
Personally i love this new Boss, it might actually win me over the SS Camaro, yeah crucify me for saying it but this thing has everything i want and more, im SO not a fan of forced induction so a new muscle car set up to make tremendous power on an N/A motor? Now THATS my calling, for too long have companies taken the cheap way out and just bolted on a supercharger, beefed the suspension and forgot about it. Oh and notice the quad exhaust, proper rear duals ANd side pipes how badass is that?? And they say the restrictor plates on the side pipes might 'accidently fall off' if just two bolts are loosened ;-) hahaha, plus that Trans am style dash is to die for, im sorry to say but i do indeed like that better than the Camaro's dash. Also look for the non-Laguna Boss to be put around $37k, they dont wanna step on the GT500's toes but with .3 seconds differing between the GT and GT500 im not sure what the point in a GT500 will be anymore haha, unless you're just anal about Forced Induction...which it seems too many people are...i guess i just really love this because SOOO many companies bolt a supercharger onto the SS Camaro and try to brag about it, its like come oonnn EVERYONE has done it, im tired of it! Lets see some REAL engine work, not just a bolt on...
Plus i love this cause they removed all the stupid luxury crap, i hate how muscle cars are going to "muscle/luxury" cars cause everyone's all prissy about their navigation and heated seats and 9 speaker bose and yada yada, put a sock in it! Its a PERFORMANCE car! If you want luxury you shoulda bought a Cadillac...
However...if GM re-opened Pontiac and produced a new Trans Am to compete with this i would most definatly be WAY into that, id die for a new Trans Am =P
:NOTE: Where the hell is the shaker hood? =( They have new shakers for the new Mustangs they should have made it standard or at least optional equipment for the Boss, maybe they will, who knows, all i know is id definatly put a shaker on mine if i got one
