Commuter cars and small SUVs will continue to be electrified...but look at the costs. The Volt is 40k, and the nissan leaf is...what, 33? A dinky little car like that with 100 miles to drive...33k. Then...there's the assumption that we must all be driven by ONE source. If electricity is the source of choice -- unfortunately, the fact is that the grid can't support ALL cars on the road. Not without significant investment in 'smartgrid' technology and nuclear power plants to support the load. So...this means that for the foreseeable future, we will have a diverse portfolio of vehicles. Electrics, bio/diesel, gasoline, Ethanol...

i know it probably wont be affecting me within my lifetime (unless as u said the fuel eco skyrockets). And dont worry, im back at working after my family went on vacation
Got the job back (boss likes me aparently).
And yeah those electric cars are pretty freaking heavy on the wallet. A wealthy person who could afford a car like that probably would not care about gas (unless theyre all green) anyways if they are willing to lay down the money for one of those (especially, if i read it right, that they have a 20k up in the prices if you actually look at buying them)
