Its my fail safe solution, as any more crap from the computer system and Im done with it and a carb goes on the V6 in the Bird which means it has to get yanked then and put into the truck and only smart thing to do is swap it all as one piece then trust a unknown condition 700R4 it came with. It has buckets so the shifter is no problem being back farther then a s10-15 T5. I can make a custom handle to move it more forward or do the rustang T5 stick on backwards like folks do.
