Some guy's with opposing technologies will have a tendency to trash each others technologies.
Examples: SRA vs IRS
DOHC vs push rod engines
coil overs vs leaf springs
mid-engine vs rear-engine
These battles rage on in discussions and forums world wide. All of these technologies are still relevant their current state. The Mustang has evolved the SRA to a point where it is a non-issue, the LS series engines can hold their own with anything out there, Corvettes with leaf springs can corner with the best of them and rear engine Porsches have proven themselves on countless occasions. Just because a technology is older does not mean that it has not evolved and remained relevant.
