^ That's what I hear and see a from all the owner's I know that tow heavy rockcrawlers with them. The Ram is a good STRONG truck that can take a beating without the wheel bearings, ball joints, transmissions problems plagues by other trucks at 100-120k of typical truck use. I see alot of 99-06 GM 1/2 tons and they are beat to hell and have a ton of problems and generally ride and feel like crap after 100k. I live in snow country northern California and guys up here work there trucks and run larger tires and the GM's simply dont last under these conditions and fall apart after 120k. Just go test drive a used 01 4wd Silverado on larger tires and you will see what I mean. I'm not sure if they fixed all thoes problems with the newer ones but if he has his heart set on a GM then search for any future change's because the current model is stale and behind the ball. If your gonna spend the extra $$$ on a brand new 2011 it might as well look like a brand new model instead of one nearing the end of its life span. The rear seats even in a GM crew cab is the worst of every crew cab 1/2 ton ive sat in especially in dark cloth, ewww get me out of here sort of cramped feeling, way too small for their largest cab model. I'm sure the next gen of GM truck's will be great if you want to wait. I have nothing to say about the F150 other then Ford has their act together and is building some of the best new domestic vehicles on the market as I havent really cared about Fords until my car became available.
