she is insecure, you need to show more affection and aggressiveness sexually, that really helps... my fiance and i have gone through tough times (ie my family HATES her) and that helps.. also tell her how special she is without overdoing it all the time... go do FUNNY stuff like comedy conventions to just lighten it up a bit or go karting or play golf or go camping...
BUT dont be such a type A personality... i am... most men are... and type A's always do better with a type b... now if your girl is a type a... like mine... just make it a relaing atmosphere without saying relax... when you want to say something show it with actions...

you can say alot by interrupting her thoughts with physical moments...
im good at this relationship stuff and it gets tricky but you have to get this hate idea out of your head...
my mom and sister are both kinda nuts and continue to "go after" my fiance saying i would never have done this or that if she wasnt here ruining ou family... they are both crazy... but i ended up running away with her for 4 years and i was broke and dropped out of school... and it was the right decision i realized i had something more than money, or cars, or anything... i had someone that i loved more than myself i found somebody that is even stronger than i am and smarter and she is gorgoeus... ( she models for trojan now) and it was so painful and so hard in my situation... ...
anyways... she hates to hear about cars now
i hate to hear about clothes and shopping , but i still listen, because she is the biggest part of me. and i dont care if she talks about shoes for 450 hours, i would still be interested, watching those amazing lips move when she talks...
