Good thread...

Being a girl driver and my new car was to be a daily driver, not one that I take to the track every weekend or a Garage Queen - my needs were different.

Before placing my order (May, 09) I drove a Mustang, a Challenger and sat in a Camaro (as they didn't have one available to drive). I'm tall (6'1") with long legs (36" inseam) so I was interested in comfort. My children are no longer little, so I have no need for a back seat/car seats, etc.

The Challenger was the most comfortable to sit in, but the Camaro was as comfortable but provided a better ride. The Mustang was stiff and took the bumps harder and the cabin seemed small to me.

Economy wasn't that important as I only have a 35 mile commute daily. So I definitely wanted a V8 Manual. Even though both the Challenger and the Camaro were being termed as "heavy, and boat-like" they were my top two choices. Both were head turners - with the Camaro getting the "longer look".

Then came the decision-maker. The price tag: I got my 2SS/RS OTD for $36,300 and the SRT-8 was going to be nearly $50k which put it out of my price range.

Have not been disappointed in the least with my Camaro. And I am proud to own a GM for the first time in over a decade. My two cents. Lori
