I don't think the M6 in the Mustang is any less stout than the M6 in the Camaro and there are many Camaros pushing more to the wheels than the GT350.

Livernois just announced a new piston/rod package for the 5.0 that will allow upping the boost. (I.E. lower compression option and a higher compression option for the N/A and nitrous crowd.)
i believe it was roush that said they kept blowing transmissions when they were testing FI applications. they never mentioned anything about the engine being stout enough, although lower compression would help. lets see if i can find the article where it was mentioned.
