The Volt on the other hand is step one in a journey. It isn't intended to be high volume.......it isn't intended to be THE answer for every car buyer. If you read anything about GMs strategy they have been at least repetative in saying the answer is a broad based solution including electric, biofuels, and good old gasoline with a dash of LPG and CNG. Anyone that is trying to claim the Volt as a fail for sales is not reading and not paying attention. It will only fail if it fails to deliver on the technology. It's that simple. If you are trying to make a different case, then you are trying to make one that GM isn't.
And yes, having driven one, it would be perfect for my drive. For Mrs. Number 3? Not so much...........until her employer has plug in infrastructure.

Why am I seeing teasers on the news about the volt that seem to already be declaring the car a waste of bailout money? I think they are already trying to shape public opinion that the Leaf is better. When is GM going to hit back with some PR showing why the Volt is the best electric?
