i've had a Toshiba, a Gateway, & 3 Sony VAIOs. i've also had an old PowerMac, a 2nd Gen iMac, & a model-before-now iMac. all have been great computers... just in the Audio/Video/Graphic industry, a mac is a little better (personally) one of my good friends has a Dell laptop & a new MacBook Pro. he uses both and both work great, but he prefers the mac (as he's in my line of work as well)
