What's more, GM and Ford are both developing more fuel efficient engines for their trucks...GM has a twin-turbocharged V6 in development plus the Gen V V8s and Ford's working on getting one of their Ecoboost engines into the F-150. You can expect to see 25-26 MPG full size trucks in the near future.

It better be sooner than later. Listen I don't want to argue with you. I know your very smart and on top of the car world. But, I have seen first hand what happens when gas prices go nuts, and it brought down one of the best dealerships we ever had in our area. They put to much stock in SUVs and Trucks and it burnt them. I can't state all the stats like your so good at brings us day in and day out ,but I've been around along time to see that sometimes common sense and real world experiences usually out ways what ever the stats say. I wrote this because I love GM cars and trucks ,and I don't want them to go down the same road as in the past.
I also can't believe that you would tell me that people in europe drive small cars because of space more than the price of gas over there. COME ON, I wasn't born yesterday.
