5.shooow. Wow that was cleaver! Camaslooow, just as cleaver!?!? Neither is anywhere close to slow. Many tests have had each win in quarter mile. Mustang has won every test on tracks which have actual turns. All reviews have the mustang as a superior car for driving dynamics.
I personally think the exterior of the Camaro is sexier and I wasn't a fan of the mustang's rear, though it's growing on me (yeah, yeah so does a wart). The interior of the Mustang is far superior, though I like the Camaro gauges on the center console. When I was a kid my best bud had a 68 rs ss with similar gauges... love them. Oddly I had a 69 Mach 1. Old habits die hard I guess.
If you buy either car, you will have an awesome ride. I was absolutely seriously considering the Camaro SS as my next car when I registered on this site. Although at that time internet buzz about the upcoming 5.0 kept me on the fence. I've now driven each and looked at dozens. I will likely be getting my 5.0 (slooow) in the next 7 days. The hardest part is finding the options, colors, tranny.... that I want.
Again either car is one hell of a car!
