Restructuring from the top is the first step, then lowering labour cost, HAS to be next, if we expect to compete in this market. The imports sales declines are a lot less, than the domestic, and their still opening new plants, especially in Ontario.
Don't get me wrong, I fully support the domestic companies, but we really have to ask ourselves...IS LABOUR REALLY WORTH, THE SO CALLED
$30/hr. especially when the imports are doing it for less?

A comment was recently placed on a Canadian news network website, about the job losses in Ontario. Don't shoot the messanger, as many of you like to do.
This lady commented that when she was let go by GM, she knew the day was coming. It was because SHE knew, deep in her heart that her job was not really worth $30/hr that she was getting and something had to give.

Take this info for what it's worth, but I didn't make this up.
