2. When the PT Cruiser went on sale in March 2000 as an early 2001 model, eager buyers flocked to dealerships to snap up the first copies — and they were willing to pay well above the sticker price.
3. The PT Cruiser was, and the new Camaro is, styling-wise, like nothing else on the road, and that made it a head turner.
4. Both the Camaro and the PT Cruiser have been noted as having excessive blind-spots.
Here are a few comments regarding the PT Cruiser from both the major magazines and the common person on the street:
Sounds eerily familiar to many of the things said about the Camaro, doesn't it?
I only say all of this because, back then, the PT Cruiser was the "cool" car to buy and I was in the market. Thankfully, I did not buy one, as I very quickly grew tired of the styling on the car and, after spending a lot of time with a co-worker who did buy one, found out it was not as much fun to drive/ride in as I thought it would be.
That is one of my fears in choosing my next car. I'm seriously considering a Camaro, but I'm afraid the styling might become "dated" before I am able to pay the car off.

The styling from the exterior looks great. Having driven one every day for a year now, the interior does take some getting used to as do the blind spots. However you do get used to them after awhile. I would definitely take a test drive in the new 2011 Mustang and the Challenger just so you get to feel driving them and examining the insides. My biggest problem with the Camaro has been the interior visibility all the way around. That is why I am trading mine in for a Mustang GT 2011 later on today. I didn't come by this decision lightly but I recommend before buying a Camaro do a comparison yourself of other vehicles and see which one you would prefer to drive in every day.
