Before I answer, let me just say that I feel that (even though this is a forum) this subject has been hit on far too much already with the information we know at the moment, so if you want to know what everyone thinks just read one of the many other posts on this topic. Let's try not to encourage too many negative thoughts.
To answer your question, yes I think GM will make it through, but not without a good deal of restructuring.
