90% of the RRoD problems are people leaving their xbox in a small space enclosed on three sides like old vcrs were with no ventilation. If you give your xbox sufficient room to breathe (standing it vertically on top of a tv stand or just somewhere where it's not in a hole somewhere, you'll never have any problems.)
As for the potential, game companies have hit a wall for graphics potential with the recession. I think that PS3 might start coming out with more detailed games within 3 years possibly? not anytime in the next 12-18 months for sure.

Hmm i was told the elite had its own processor.
anyways, yes i agree with you about the RRoD, but thats one thing you'll never see on the PS3.
Im a big fan of the Blue ray and would use it all the time, i just need to know if the PS3 with the blue ray is a better buy than the Xbox with all its games and extras... How much better is online play w/ the xbox?

A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."
