the Corvettes (especially in later years) have been on par with & surpassing similarly designed exotic vehicles. still, most people don't consider the Vette an exotic car because it's produced in large quantities, it's not made with as many rare materials, the interior ain't as refined, & it's priced far below its competitors. the list can go on. my point - just because it performs like cars in another class doesn't mean it's considered one of them. i just have a really hard time giving that classification to a Korean car with no history related to that of the American pony cars (other than basic driveline layout).
