Manual > auto. I don't mean that in the performance sense because a properly built auto will rape a manual at the strip and dual clutch "semi" automatics will run shit at the road course. If you love driving, just the whole act of it in general, there is nothing better than a nice, smooth shifting manual. It isn't hard to learn and it's well worth the slight annoyance in heavy traffic. Of course, this is just my opinion, but I will never own an automatic sporty car.
