This is common for ALL industries. States talk to all major companies when they want to make new facilities because they try to lurer the companies there to create jobs.
I think ikea got something on in some states. this is nothing new and happens to all industries.

It happens in every industry. I think the best way to deter this type of behavior is to raise the tariffs on imported cars and trucks. We should be as protectionist as the competition. We should also give a credit to states that host the most domestic companies in the form of grants-in-aid.
