But very few of us can pay an extra 10 - 20K for an electric car that you have to plug in.... IMO The Volt is the direction 80% of the green cars in the world will follow for the foreseeable future.

just my 2 cents.
CAFE is about the worst way to improve efficiency in cars. I agree with Bob Lutz: CAFE is like fight national obesity by making the clothing industry manufacture only small sizes.
