Hell, that SMS Challenger with the supercharged 5.7 Hemi only ran a 12.8 in the 1/4. And it had alot more than 480hp.

IMHO - Putting a SRT8 Challenger with 480 horse' against a proposed mod'd SS from earlier is going to be a close race. About 60 horse' increases for each car are probably going to be close to what we see now.
As far as that SMS car - I bet MOST of that is driver. There's no reason, so long as the claims are accurate, that that car shouldn't be a lot quicker than that report. Most reviewers don't power shift, or drive with a prep'd surface, along with a quick burnout and all the other little things we do to get the best times possible. Also, the videos I've seen of that car were absolutely crappy driving. So much hop - just not a lot of real control over the car. That kind of car needs to have sticky tires to start with. That test did as much justice to that car as many rags' posting high 12-second 1320' times for the older GT500s... I call total BS on those tests
