Dodge is still missing the boat in comparison with the GT500. The 2011 GT500 is rated at 550HP, is lighter, and will run circles around the 6.4/8 speed auto if this is indeed what is to be released.
IMO what should have happened:
- R/T gets the 6.1 from the outgoing SRT8; 5.7 is dropped; price remains the same.
- SRT8 gets a 6.4 525+HP motor and improved suspension to compete with the GT500 and Z/28. Pricing is in-line with the GT500 and Z/28.
