BTW, I'm not sure what the point of comparing it to the SS will be anymore. It will obviously out perform it, and cost more, and have more features. Not really much obvious common ground, unless you feel the need to compare top of the line to top of the line.

I agree. I'm sure they're going to make improvements to the rest of the powertrain and chassis. However, by (what is sounds like from other sources) the time it comes out in 2012, I'm sure SS is going to get improvements, too. I think there's room for another Camaro in the line-up also that will duke it out directly

It's already pretty close to being the same speed now. In terms of handling, that's a little different story, but they've tuned the car different, in terms of making the car more comfortable than performance-minded, IMO.
