If that is, indeed, the law, it would be interesting to hear the rationale. On the surface, it just seems stupid and intrusive. All too often, I end up behind someone at a light who is so engaged in their cellphone conversation (or some other distracting activity) that they completely miss the fact that the light has turned green. I'm a busy person and schedule my time carefully to make sure I can be wherever I need to be with a little extra buffer time--that's all my busy day can typically afford (I can't just leave 20 minutes early to account for idiots).

So not being able to beep the horn politely in these instances is simply ridiculous. There is no safety implication at issue (don't even try to convince me that there is...if my beeping the horn caused someone who is stationary to somehow have an accident, that person should not be allowed behind the wheel of a car).

Anyway...my two cents...not sure why this post got me this riled up--but it did. Asinine laws, and the intrusion of local and federal govt where they don't belong are starting to get on my nerves!
