If they run them without accesories, then when the engines are actually in the cars, the Mustang wouldn't be using power to run the stearing pump (electric) unlike the Camaro. This might explain why the 5.0 seems closer to the LS3 in RWHP than what it should be.
If they do run them with accesories when they rate them....well then, so much for that theory.

The 5.0 has not yet been "officially"
SAE J1349 certified meaning it's rating is nothing more than a "educated" guess.
