I know quite a few people who have added intake/exhaust/tune and didnt do anything to the fuel system and burned out the stock lift pump leaving them with 0 psi which then burned out the injector pump. |
No he didn't upgrade his fuel system. I don't specifically remember what mechanically happened when it blew, but I'll get you those specifics after I ask him lol. However, my brother has a Duramax with an exhaust, CAI, EFI Live, and a built transmission and his held up great! Even before the built transmission, he had no problems and he only choose to build it because he saw all his buddies limp their transmissions.
