The car is solid, and will sell. These designers and developers aren't stupid, they know the performance is deficient in HP, gearing, suspension, chassis, etc. when compared with the Camaro. However, they're masters at getting this car to all those consumers who wants the name and the style that this car (presumably) will exude. It's all about how these cars will be marketed. If you think about it, the GT is being marketed to a younger deomographic than the SS.
By the way, that gold is sexy.
