the new AVP was like SW1
Though Id like to see an Alien plant/home world movie.
With a Preditor evloution side by side almost like the new StarTrek with Spok n Kirk evloution till they cross paths.

AVP was not what it could have been, but it did help to "tie things together" amongst the two film sets.
AVP:R was like regurgitated leftovers
as far as wordplay, Bay said himself that he did not want to do a trilogy. because with a trilogy, you have 3 pieces of a pie. the first one is the greatest thing since sliced bread, the second one is crap and cant live up to the hype, and the third one is just enough to recover from how pitiful the second one was.
The one thing with the Alien saga (not counting AVP) was that individually, they were all great movies. you could watch each one without ever watching a previous (or later) one and it was a great experience. not so with movie setups that are set up as trilogies.
maybe its just the HUGE Transformers fan in me that doesnt want it to end. I dont know.
