You're right, it doesn't make sense to advertise the same brand by 2 names. So, they're going to stop referring to to Chevy and use Chevrolet instead.

You can't use the bowtie, unless you have authorization from GM to use their trademarked logo.

say Chevy bow tie. In which case ... no, thats not true since the general public can say Chevy all they like, GM won't be doing anything about preventing people from saying Chevy bowtie.
