Boy you guys take things tooo seriously.. I mean it was meant for advertising, internal memos and such, not for all of us Chevy Faithful.
You need to remember that they are now selling Chevrolets all over the world, and the term "Chevy" is mostly an American Nickname.. So instead of having to write separate corporate memos for domestic and foreign markets, they ask their people to refrain from using the Term "Chevy" because it is not recognized worldwide. that is all it is about...
