aww man. the opel manta used to be my favorite car when I was a child

my aunt had both the A and the B model. i like to call it "germany's camaro". it even was connected to weird stereotype drivers: female, young, blonde hairdressers and guys in cowboy-boots. funnily enough my aunt was exactly that, a blonde hairdresser

people used to invent manta-jokes like:
- "what's the biggest part of a manta? the boobs of the girl in the passenger seat!"
- says one manta-driver to the other "hey i bought a dictionary" and the other one asks "so, already put it on the engine?"
- "how does a manta-driver take a family picture? he puts the whole family in his car and passes a speeding-camera with 200km/h"

a movie called "manta manta" was made in 1991:
