My 74 is not half as loud as some of the cars on this site, and it set off alarms pretty easily. It doesn't have to do with sound. It's the vibration caused by the sound. At low speeds the 74 has a lot of drone. This drone is what sets off alarms. If I wanted to not set off alarms I would drive by faster with my foot on the pedal, but then that would just be louder, but with less drone.
Nothing I can do about it. But I don't think the sound is obnoxious. I've never had anyone conplain about it, and I live in a small apartment complex.
