Why would ford come out with a re-design one year before bringing back the 5.0 why would you buy that? Only a better reason to buy a camaro. Do you really think the 2011 will have 400hp? I think 350-375 would be a closer number. If I could buy a 2010 Mustang with a 5.0 with 400hp I would at least consider it. Looks like for Ford is a year late.

Never thought of it like that before. I agree too. Ford was late with the 2010 Mustang. We should have seen this come out for the Mustang in 2008 or the 2009. Not two model years before a whole new generation is supposed to come. (Even though it goes on sale in 09...) But with the current state of the auto industry I would understand why this move by Ford hasn't happened sooner.
Although one thing that we shouldn't forget is that while the Mustang GT Premium does start @30k, that needs to be compared to a Camaro 2SS. Which still costs 3k more.
Just as the base price of the 2010 Mustang GT is going to cost 27-28k which is still 2-3k cheaper than a Camaro 1SS.
But in my opinion as well as many others on here. That 2-3k difference for what you get between the Mustang GT and Camaro SS seems to give the Camaro a better value for what you get overall compared to the Mustang.
For others the Mustang will look like the better deal because it's cheaper. Although right now for around 30k the only 400hp car you can get is a Camaro SS. Which the Mustang and Challenger can't evenly compete with price wise. If Chevy does later come out with a 40-50+k Z28 then we'll factor that in but I do think that the Camaro SS will be the best bang for the buck out there compared to the Challenger and Mustang.
Although 2012 That could change when the next gen Mustang comes out. Who knows?
