Nice propaganda ("information, ideas, or rumors deliberately spread widely to help an institution"), but I'm not sure I'm buying it. Are they trying to persuade people by invoking fear or what??? Maybe what's in there will actually happen if they do not get an infusion of capital (i.e., loan, bailout, whatever you want to call it) and maybe not. No one has a "crystal ball" that can accurately predict the future. The fact that they are taking action shows me that they are worried they will not get assistance from the Feds and I'm sure all their lobbyists are working overtime on this one. The way the economy is heading, I'm sure there is going to be many people (no idea how high that number will be) out of work who have no ties whatsoever to the auto industry.

According to the Department of Labor stats, in October, the number of unemployed persons increased to 10.1 million. What about them? Don't they count? Where is an infusion of capital for small businesses? Did the Feds bailout my dad's business? Not a chance. Of course, my dad's business unfortunately failed at a time when the Feds were doing this sort of thing. Did my dad pull himself up, go back to school and retrain, and find employment...damn straight he did. No different than what many of the people who are out of work will do. If the infusion of capital will "heal" the Big 3's woes, then I'm all for it. I am worried such action will not be effective in the long run.
