A properly sorted multi-link suspension will always be superior to a live axle. The Camaro's suspension has much more upside to it than the Mustang's archaic crap live axle.
You can stiffen a independent suspension up with the right components until it acts like a live axle, if you desire, but for most conditions.... that's not what you want.
