Honestly, I wouldn't get one of the cheap chinese brand ones. I've had two people I know do that - and both of them had warranties - and they had no end to troubles. During warranty period they barely had the scooter because it was always in the shop, and the troubles didn't end with the warranty. From the factory, I saw warped brake rotors, bent forks, etc. Just not worth the trouble - get a name brand model if you're going to get one, or even a 250 motorcycle like the V-Star 250 (3995 msrp).

JMHO and YMMV of course.
