During the course of the meeting, they had a slide show for upcoming new platforms for vehicles. One in particular caught my eye. it was for the 2011 MY Mustang GT. The confirmed motor in this thing is Called the "coyote" motor.
The thing is, its a BMF. It is the 5.0 TiVCT 32v motor. Stock, the thing puts out 400 hp, and 375 tq. It has 11:1 compression, and a redline of 7000 rpm. This IS confirmed to be in that car. They also had pictureones of this thing crammed into the engine bay. Keep in mind, that motor will take the place of the current 3v 4.6 281's. Ford is FINNALY phazing that motor out.
The other motor that they are putting on the assembly line, is the 6.2 Boss V8. There is no current platform for this motor, but it is confirmed that it will not go into a f series truck. It very well could end up being a strictly SVT motor for a cobra. The 6.2 has a very low compression ratio, and dual sparkplugs per cylinder. The horsepower in for that motor is 375hp, and 410 tq. seems perfect for a blown, or turbo application.
Either way, the next few years will be pretty exciting!"

7000 RPM REDLINE WOW
I must say, one of the things I love about cars like Porche and Ferrari is the sound of their engines when you rev them. I could only imagine how the Mustang must sound with a redline at 7k. VAROOOM!!!
