I think this is all because of driving experience and the IRS isn't very suited for drag racing.
For comparision's sake, orangechevy has run
~10.3@134 with almost equal mods as what the fastest 5.0 ran (
10.58@128), albeit with a bigger shot of nitrous (200vs125-150), but using STOCK suspension components versus the 5.0's fully optimised drag suspension.
