Doesn't the SRT4 have a turbo? I'd imagine they'd pull more on the top end than a naturally aspirated engine...
I agree that Chevy needs to do something for 2012; however, real world drivers have got the SS into the 12's. The issue here is that the automatic is slower in the SS so if someone doesn't know how to launch the manual then all the power in the world isn't going to help them.
Also, I am not sure what you mean by real world drivers. Every stock 2011 Mustang in the 12's has been done by a performance shop.
