I design rooms like this for a living, and what I get paid to design it is pennies compared to overall budget, most MRI rooms are a couple mill $. CT's usually just over 1 mil, X-rays are general never over 1 mil more like 500-750k tops. The largest expense is the equipment without a doubt.
But it's amazing technology to help people like your wife and Scott's daughter, and it's only getting better.
