But, by that same logic, you can say that the 5.0 would not have been out unless there was competition from the Camaro.
Also, I can honestly say that I see that the 2010/2011 Mustang took some design cues from the Camaro. For example, the coke bottle shape retro look, the blinkers that are now in the grill next to the headlights, the raised mohawk cowl induction thing, and more agressive grill.

I don't think the Mustang would be the great car it has evolved to without Camaro and the Challenger, among the many others. Good point.
