You can say all you want about the Mustang not being able to keep up with the Camaro, but an '07 GT500 will still outrun a Challenger SRT-8 and most likely the Camaro SS as well.

We're comparing cars that are, at most, five years apart. That's a lot of technology. Wait until the specs of the 2011 Mustang are released before we start bench racing.
