, companies like AIG need fundamental change in order to operate more effectively, and so I think the government should not give them the billions they are handing out until AIG changes a lot of stuff. I think Obama will really help the American auto-industry in terms of money (I just hope they last till inaguration!), but I feel they too need to reform their line-ups. I hate to say it but I would love to see GM cut like half of their vehicles from their line-up, and close down a fair number of dealerships (I have heard 25%, but I was thinking more along the lines of 10%, then keep cutting in 10% increments until it starts working out better since one of the appeals of GM is how accessable their dealerships are, so they should still keep a good amount). Well that's my $.02, hang in there GM!
