Good point. Yet, I know He wants us to make choices, He wants us to believe. He wants us to make that decision, to show our love for Him. At least that's what I was taught.

Agreed. As long as the discussion stays adult, it shouldn't be closed. Who knows? Someone's life might be changed, for good, I hope, or bad.
Of note. I was always taught that God was a loving, forgiving God. Yet, He's jealous, demanding and has very little patience for those who try Him. He's commanded people to kill, yet says
Thou shall not kill, He says that no one should be envious or coveting of one's neighbor, yet says
Thou shalt have no other God before Me .
See what I'm getting at? Not saying this in a bad way at all, just putting things out there to discuss. Why the hypocrisy?
