You can give ASPIRIN. (not enteric coated though, because it appears that dogs do not digest this coating well and whole aspirins have been found in dogs stool.)

ASK YOUR VET for proper dosage.
Don't go on the advice of some unknown person on the internet.

I can tell from reading these posts that you don't want to take advice from a car forum. Tylenol is not toxic to dogs if given in the right dose. That's why you should never give your pet any med without consulting a vet. Ibuprofen is the worst to give a dog because in most cases it causes ulcers. Aspirin also can cause uslers in dogs. Acetaminophen(tylenol) is the #1 perscribed pain relief for dogs after a surgery.
Acetaminophen(tylenol) gets it's bad rap because it is often given in to high of a dose from a pet owner that didn't consult a vet plus it is very toxic to cats and some people get that confused.
As for the guy that said a vet is a waiste of money and just splint it, He must really love his animals or he doesn't have any to begin with. Would you do the same for one of your kids if they fell and then had a limp with pain? I don't think so.
I would have taken him to the vet the same day. if you wait to long and the leg is broken that can cause more problems.
