why do you insist on a certain number over invoice? why dont you offer to pay what the car is worth to you?

So your saying if you could get a car any car cheaper than what is asked you wouldn't? Almost anything I buy I at least ask, Is this the best you can do? You might be surprised how many things you can deal on if you have the time and dont need the product right away.
I guess I just have a different outlook on it. I live in MI, everyone here has family that works for the big 3 and with a employee discount any brand can be had for under invoice without any drama. I also have several of the old GM credit cards that can take off another $3500, that's free money if you dont carry a balance.
Ford has decided not to offer the employee discounts on the GT-500, unlike GM they do on the Corvette/Camaro. Thats fine it just means that I am going to try to get the car the cheapest I can, the less I pay the more I have left over to play with.
This is my way of thinking, what would it cost me to build a 2SS Camaro or a Premium GT into a 600hp car that will last 100k? I figured if I pulled the engines and put in forged internals/blower and modified the rest of the drivetrain to take the added abuse I would have near $50k in either the GT or SS. The GT-500 is just a couple of bolt-ons away from 600hp and nothing else should need upgrading at that power level. So the car is worth 50k out the door to me and without all the options that is about what I am offering. I'll get my car but with the Michigan sun finally comming out it's getting hard not to get frustraited waiting and playing games.
Oh and I am cheap to.
