What do you do? Bring beer to the office? do donuts in your Camaro in the parking lot? What???

I like the donuts idea, but make sure no cameras are around. Not so fond of the drinking on the job.
But for real... this is not an uncommon situation. You described my wife's last job to the T. Sparing you many of the details of how shes got in this position, her boss was your
'co-worker'. Her boss would degrade everyone in the office, as if they were "dee-dee-dee", and she made sure it was loud enough that everyone else could hear it. This was her boss's daily pleasure, and daily torture for everyone who worked under her.
As expected, the company had a high turn-over of employees... and the only way out for my wife was through the front door and never look back. I don't suggest you quit, but "life is short" and it might be a good idea to start looking for a business/company/employer who will appreciate your skills??
Fast forward 3 years, my wife is now extremely happy, and routinely being praised by her bosses. It is a lot of hard work, and may have been a step down for her at the time... but it was well worth it!
