Im not talking about a competition in the market. Im talking about at the track. In my case its a pretty decent race if the LS1 is on street tires and stock to near stock. My S197 4.6 (Only Mods are CAI and Mailorder Tune) runs 12.8-13.3 at 103-107 depending on density altitude on factory Pirelli All-Seasons. I find the S197 60's better and the Camaro LS1 traps better. My better 60's make up for his 2 mph trap speed advantage most of the time.
I linked one of my slips in my sig. I chose it because I think I did a decent job on that pass and it is both an actual and corrected 12.
I used to get a lot of crap about how my better runs didnt count because of "Mineshaft Air".
I believe their is a comparison to be made as long as I and the other driver continue to line up in front of a Christmas Tree. Its about fun and who can put together the best pass right at that moment in time. That takes cars that are fairly evenly matched in performance not production date. I get no great thrill blowing off a TPI Camaro and Im sure LS3 Corvette Owners feel the same about my car.
PS Im not really a die hard Ford Guy. Ive owned both a Corvette C4 LT4 and a Corvette C5 LS1.

If those are the times you are getting for what you're saying was done to the car, then I'd say it would be a pretty close race. I'm still not on board with comparing mod'd cars to un-mod'd cars or cars that are not of the same vintage, but, really, what cars that go to the track really come 100% stock - pretty much none. I will say that it looks like you're a driver for sure
Like you said, though, let's get this train back on the rails

Please keep us informed of new developments regarding the 'Stang. I keep my enemies close, if you know what I mean
