I have to disagree. That 'shriek' doesn't sound like Godzilla. It's much too deep to be Godzilla. It's more a growling moan in that preview.
Entertainment Weekly had a small article on it. It's shrouded in secrecy.
Cloverfield is rumored just a code name, it's a street in the neighborhood where Abrahms lives.
Whatever it is, it's done a fantastic job of rousing initial interest.
